Shisham Shell made Dholak is generally popular folk instrument which is rhythmic. The Dholak is a type of drum fabricated from a heavy shisham shell. The Dholak has two leather heads which are fitted on either sides of the shell for low and high pitched sounds. The Shisham Shell made Dholak is fitted with heads and enables fine tuning with the help of cords and adjustable wooden pegs.
